When Maurizio Sarri took charge of Chelsea this summer his main job was to get the Blues back in the Champions League.

But the former Napoli manager has done much more than that as the Blues are now worthy title contenders.

Chelsea are yet to lose a game this season and Maurizio Sarri might just have pulled another masterstroke.

According to the latest reports, midfielder N’Golo Kante has agreed to sign a new deal at the club.

Sarri signed Jorginho during the summer transfer window and was a pretty guessable move from the manager but then he shocked everyone by removing N’Golo Kante from his favoured role and handed him a new job in the first eleven.

But the kind of person, N’Golo Kante is, he took up the challenge without any fuss and is now thriving in the newfound role.

N’Golo Kante’s current deal with the club expires in 2021 and the midfielder is ready to put pen on paper to a new deal.

While the details of the contract are not yet known but it is being reported that the midfielder will receive a substantial pay rise.

This is surely great news for the Chelsea fans since Ligue 1 giants PSG still hold an interest in N’Golo Kante.

The Paris outfit tried to make a move for Kante during the summer transfer window and rumours are ripe that they are planning to launch a bid for the World Cup winner at the end of the season.
