Chelsea have had a really troubling past couple of seasons under Jose Mourinho and then Antonio Conte.

The Blues have won a couple of Premier League titles during the past years but after every trophy winning season, the London club have seen a slump in form which invariably has forced the club to bring in a new manager.

While the new manager effect has always helped Chelsea in the past but this season, it looks like Maurizio Sarri has failed to use his aura in helping the Blues get back to the levels of Manchester City and Liverpool.

While Liverpool and Man City are still fighting for the Premier League trophy this season, Chelsea, on the other hand, are trying their level best to finish in the top-four and bring back Champions League football to the Bridge next season.

The Chelsea fans have always been addicted to instant success but under Maurizio Sarri they have been forced to be patient as the Italian is taking his own sweet time to build his squad.

And now speaking about challenging for the title, Gianfranco Zola has claimed that the Blues need to follow the Klopp and Guardiola model by giving Sarri time.

“Expectations are very high at Chelsea”, Zola said.

“With Sarri I’ve known a football that I ignored before, we are in the middle of a path. When Maurizio was in Naples he built everything gradually. Look at Klopp, Pochettino and Guardiola.

“They are at their clubs since a few years”.

“There is incredible pressure at Chelsea, they expect to have everything immediately”.

“Higuain and Jorginho? Their qualities can’t be put into question but the rhythm of the Premier League is very high.

“Gonzalo will surprise you once he will reach the top of his fitness. He will prove to be decisive.”
