Chelsea are expected to do very little transfer business this summer especially with the transfer embargo imposed on them.

But one of the players who is more than certain to leave is midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The 24-year-old joined the Blues from AS Monaco in the summer of 2017 and everyone was certain that the midfielder would be a key figure at Stamford Bridge for years to come.

Sadly though, that is not how his first season at Chelsea panned out as Tiemoue Bakayoko failed to carve out a regular spot in the first XI.

This summer though as soon as Maurizio Sarri took charge at Chelsea he immediately sent out the midfielder to AC Milan for a season-long loan.

At first, it seemed as if his time at Milan would also end up being a flop but Tiemoue Bakayoko has since picked up the pace and is now a regular feature in the starting line up.

The French international is scheduled to return back to Chelsea at the end of the current season but if reports are to be believed then AC Milan are interested in keeping him on a permanent basis.

The loan contract does have an option to buy and it seems like the Serie A outfit are planning to execute that during the summer as they hope a transfer fee of around €35 million should be enough to secure the deal.

Maurizio Sarri clearly has no need for Tiemoue Bakayoko since the Frenchman plays in the exact same role as Jorginho so Milan shouldn’t have any issues in keeping the midfielder.

Apart from Tiemoue Bakayoko, Chelsea are already planning to offload Danny Drinkwater who has not featured for the Blues this season.
