Chelsea are currently fourth on the Premier League table and next up they take on Watford at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

The Blues drew their Europa League semi-final first leg against Eintracht 1-1 and a number of players were rested during this game.

But this draw was their third one on the trot and some experts believe that the way Watford have been playing this season, it should not come as a huge surprise if they can inflict defeat to Sarri’s men.

Chelsea news vs Watford:

Antonio Rudiger is out for the rest of the season after his injury during the Man United clash which means that Christensen will play at centre-back alongside David Luiz.

Emerson started at left-back vs Eintracht but Marcos Alonso is expected to return to the defensive line up vs Watford.

Gary Cahill is also out with an injury which means right now Maurizio Sarri has no big defensive substitute in case one of his first-team regulars gets injured.

Ruben Loftus Cheek was taken off with about 10 minutes to go during the Europa League clash and the manager explained that the England international was suffering from cramp.

He is expected to return back to the starting lineup vs Watford and would be partnering Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in midfield.

Eden Hazard was rested in midweek but the Belgian international will return to the side this weekend replacing Willian.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is out for the rest of the season which means Pedro will play down the right flank.

Olivier Giroud started up front vs Eintracht but the Frenchman will move back to the bench and Gonzalo Higuain will take his place vs the Hornets.
