Chelsea went down 5-3 at the hands of Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday meaning they will have to sweat it out during the final day of the season.

The Blues will take on Wolves at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and Frank Lampard will be urging his players to pick up all three points, more so since anything less than a win could force them out of the top-four, once and for all.

Chelsea have won their last 5 home matches in the Premier League but Wolves are a force to be reckoned with and like the Blues, they will also be itching to pick up a win so that they can secure a Europa League spot for the upcoming season.

Lampard has more or less a fit squad to choose from but his real dilemma will be to select his formation given that Wolves tend to play with a three-man backline.

Chelsea team news vs Wolves:

Against Liverpool, Frank Lampard chose a 3-4-3 formation and we have a feeling he will opt for the same tactics on Sunday as well, meaning Rudiger will be partnered by Kurt Zouma and Azpilicueta at the back.

Reece James will keep his place as the right wing-back but Marcos Alonso could be rested as Emerson makes a comeback into the starting XI on Sunday.

N’Golo Kante remains a doubt with his hamstring injury and if the Frenchman cannot be fit in time then Jorginho will play as the defensive midfielder once again.

Mateo Kovacic should get the nod ahead of Ross Barkley in midfield after his fine performance in midweek. But since the Croatian played the full 90 minutes against Liverpool, he could be replaced by Barkley or Mason Mount.

Pulisic came off the bench vs Liverpool and made an instant impact so there’s no argument with the fact that the American will be named in the starting XI on Sunday.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has been waiting in the wings for some weeks now and finally, Lampard could give the academy graduate a chance by resting Wilian.

Olivier Giroud is clearly the inform striker for Chelsea right now so the World Cup winner will once again get the nod ahead of young Tammy Abraham, who might come on during the second half of the match.
