Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is planning to bring in some essential reinforcements for the upcoming season and according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook, the Blues have earmarked two unwanted players who need to leave before the new signings can arrive.

As per Crook, the Blues manager has decided to put Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi up for sale in the hopes of clearing out
£270,000-per-week from their wage bills.

Crook told GIVEMESPORT: “Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi, I think Chelsea are now willing to cut their losses with those two.

“They’re on huge money, the type they wouldn’t get outside of Stamford Bridge, so it will come down to maybe a decision with them. How much do you want to play, and how much do you want a big pay packet?”

Are these two Chelsea players really indispensable?

Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek are both products of the Chelsea academy but they have never been able to fulfil their potential.

Loftus-Cheek has moved across England in various loan spells but since 2014, the midfielder has managed to play only 72 games for the Blues across all competitions.

Hudson-Odoi’s situation is a tad bit better because the 21-year-old broke into the first team in 2017 and since then, he’s played 126 games across all competitions. However, injuries have been a major hindrance for him because last season, he played in only 15 Premier League games

Neither of these players have featured extensively under Thomas Tuchel so it’s not a surprise that the manager is looking to cash in on him.

Clearing out £270,000-per-week will be a massive gain for Chelsea and these two might not be the only players who will be put up for sale.

Players like Hakim Ziyech, Werner and Timo Werner have also been massive disappointments and there are rumours that all three of them will be shown the door.

Defensive stability is one of the main priorities for Thomas Tuchel this summer and he also needs to bring in a world-class attacker. However, the midfield is of the least concern to the Chelsea manager so selling Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi is not a major issue(even if no replacements arrive).
