When Chelsea appointed Maurizio Sarri as their new boss during the summer the fans could not stop raving about him.

And they had every reason to do so since the Italian was making waves in the Serie A with Napoli.

Unfortunately, though, Sarri ball is yet to take flight in the Premier League.

The Blues have been inconsistent in their performances and have lost a series of matches which should have been easy three-pointers.

‘If we have some mental problems, I think that the reason could be the players, could be the technical staff, could be the club… but I can’t think about the club,’ the Chelsea manager said after their 4-0 loss to Bournemouth.

‘I have to think about the players and the staff.

‘Probably, we are doing something wrong. The staff, first of all, the coach first of all.’

Chelsea beat Huddersfield 5-0 this weekend and with that, they have managed to regain their fourth spot on the league table(having played one game more than their nearest rivals).

But some reports are already claiming that the Blues management is not particularly happy with the Italian and he might not last the full season.

And there are two primary reasons for that.

The first one is that the board do not like how Maurizio Sarri has been handling his players.

During such a short stint the manager has burst out on many players and after the loss to the Cherries Maurizio Sarri even locked up the players in the dressing room in order to demand answers for their poor performance.

The second reason is that the management are not happy with how Maurizio Sarri has dealt with the whole Callum Hudson-Odoi saga.

Chelsea are known as a club who continuously let go of young talent and Odoi could be the latest to leave the club since Bayern Munich so desperately want to sign him.

The German club make several bids to sign the youngster last month but the Blues rejected each and every one of them but many feel that if Maurizio Sarri cannot provide the player with ample gametime during the second half of the season, he will not be staying at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer.
