Arsenal brought in Dani Ceballos on a season-long deal and so far the midfielder has had a really mixed time in the Premier League.

A series of injuries have pushed back the player’s progress but since the resumption, he has been a regular feature in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka and according to Marca, Arsenal will be able to sign Dani Ceballos since Zinedine Zidane has no use of him.

The report claims: “Real Madrid’s ‘operation exit’ is starting to take shape.

“Ceballos’ future is also up in the air. Mikel Arteta appears to be willing to extend the midfielder’s stay at Arsenal after a good run of form since the restart of the English season.

“Everything depends on Zinedine Zidane, though. If the Frenchman stays at Real Madrid, Ceballos will look for another club.

“Valencia and Real Betis have been linked with the Spanish international and any transfer involving him would be worth around 25 million euros.”

Should Arsenal hold onto Dani Ceballos?

Before the lockdown was enforced everyone was certain that Dani Ceballos will be sent back to Spain as soon as the current season ended. But now it looks like Arsenal will splash the cash in order to hold onto the Spaniard on a permanent basis.

As things stand, Matteo Guendouzi will be sold off by the club so there will be space for Dani Ceballos to get regular playing time next season.

And with the performances we have seen him give during the past couple of matches, Ceballos can clearly make the difference if he is properly covered by his fellow midfielder.

Arsenal will be working on a shoestring budget in the summer so they will want to spend as little money as possible. And at £23 million, Dani Ceballos will be the perfect buy.
