Arsenal drew yet another game this week as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Vitoria away from home in the Europa League and to make matters worse Dani Ceballos might have picked up an injury during this match.

The midfielder was brought in on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid and he is currently being deployed in the same position as Aaron Ramsey would play when he was with the Gunners.

Unfortunately though despite a few good outings, Dani Ceballos has not caught the attention of many and now he might have to sit out the clash vs Leicester City this weekend.

The Spaniard pulled up within five minutes of the second half vs Vitoria and the Gunners wasted no time in taking him off the pitch which also forced the manager to change his formation and play with three at the back.

And speaking about Dani Ceballos after the match, Unai Emery admitted that he might have picked up a muscular injury meaning he would be out of favour for a couple of weeks.

He said[as reported]: “Ceballos maybe has a small injury but I think he will not be available for the next weeks.”

If the midfielder is indeed absent for the Leicester City game then it will certainly be a huge blow for the manager since Ceballos has been providing the creative spark in and around the midfield area.

But on the other hand, with Dani Ceballos out of the equation, the manager might have to use Mesut Ozil in the attacking midfielder’s role at the King Power Stadium which is something that the fans have been wanting to see for some time now.

While the prospect of Ozil playing in place of Ceballos sounds very enticing but we don’t think Emery will opt to use the German. Instead, Emery will probably hand a start to youngster Joe Willock in midfield or like the Europa League clash, go for a change in formation.
