West Ham United will take on Manchester United at home this weekend and while Jose Mourinho’s men are the better team on paper but Manuel Pellegrini will know that nicking points of this United team will not be tough.

United have had a very poor week, first drawing against Wolves in the weekend and then being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Derby County.

While the Hammers are oozing with confidence after their 0-0 draw vs Chelsea last weekend.

And Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping that midfielder Declan Rice will come good once again after this fine display vs Maurizio Sarri’s men.

That though will be easier said than done since given the youngster has a lot on his plate right now.

Firstly he is tangled in a battle with West Ham United over a new contract and then his head is split over representing Ireland or England.

And now former Man United player and Ireland legend John O’Shea has told how to approach Declan Rice in a time when a thousand things are going through the youngster’s head.

O’Shea said: “Give him the time to make up his own mind and hopefully he will pick Ireland,”

Shay Given has recently accused the England coaching staff of filling the head of Declan Rice so that the West Ham youngster leaves Ireland and starts playing for the Three Lions, professionally.

And the situation at West Ham United is not helping either as the team are offering just £15,000 to Declan Rice under the terms of the new contract.
