Declan Rice Arsenal

Declan Rice has been tipped to leave West Ham United at the end of this season and according to Gabby Agbonlahor, the midfielder will choose a move to Arsenal.

The England international’s contract will expire in 2024 and in the previous few weeks, there have been several reports that major clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and also Manchester United are going to try and sign him at the end of this campaign.

Rice is currently a top defensive midfielder and according to pundit Gabby Agbonlahor, the 24-year-old is most likely to move to North London.

Agbonlahor said(h/t The Boot Room): “I think he would rather Chelsea maybe, he was there as a kid, but he got let go.

“You’ve got Enzo Fernandez there, that they’ve just signed. They’ve got a lot of midfielders Chelsea, and the way Arsenal are playing at the moment, he might look at the project under Arteta and think ‘Why not?’

“’I could go in there, Jorginho isn’t going to be playing much, Thomas Partey is always injured’, Declan Rice gets into that side, he keeps his place, he keeps those two players out probably next season.

“So, I think Declan Rice will join Arsenal.”

Will Declan Rice choose a move to Arsenal?

Just a few days ago, a fresh report has claimed that Manchester United have made Declan Rice one of their top priority targets for the summer transfer window so Arsenal will definitely have to work really hard to bring the midfielder on board.

Chelsea have paid a lot of money for Enzo Fernandes so it’s highly unlikely that Todd Boehly will spend another 80-90 million pounds on a similar player.

However, Man United can surely do with someone like Rice and if Ten Hag wants him on board then the club’s management will go all out to make this transfer happen.

If Arsenal win the Premier League then they will be in the driver’s seat to sign the Hammers midfielder but if Man United can bag the Europa League along with a top-four finish, then they too will be in this transfer race.

As things stand, the Gunners are actually the favourites to sign Declan Rice but by the end of May, a lot of things could and most probably will change.
