West Ham United are scheduled to play their first home game of the new season when they take on AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

While the Hammers were thrashed 4-0 during the opening weekend by Liverpool, the Cherries picked up all three points during their respective game against Cardiff City.

And coming into Gameweek 2, West Ham United have been tipped as the favourites by many to beat Eddie Howe’s side and pick up their first win of the season.

And talking to the press, Howe claimed that the Hammers will not be an easy side to beat that they should keep an eye on one particular man if they are to come home with anything.

The AFC Bournemouth manager has marked new summer signing Jack Wilshere as the danger man before the Gameweek 2 clash saying:

“It was good to see Jack Wilshere when we played Arsenal last season, he could have a big bearing on the game and it’s up to us to stop him,”

This comment Eddie Howe just goes on to show how important Jack Wilshere is going to be for the London club during the 2018-19 Premier League season.

Jack Wilshere joined West Ham United as a free agent during the summer from Arsenal and Manuel Pellegrini brought in the English International to provide that creative spark in midfield.

But his debut for the Hammers was a particularly disappointing one where he managed to play even fewer passes than Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Pellegrini though has high hopes for Jack Wilshere and the manager has claimed that the midfielder needs more time to settle into the side.
