Erik ten Hag Ajax

Current Ajax boss Erik ten Hag is en route to becoming the next Man United manager, according to eminent journalists like David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano.

The Premier League side have been in talks with Erik ten Hag for a couple of weeks now and in the previous 72 hours, there were reports that the ball was now in the 52-year-old’s court to decide whether to take up the job or not. He wanted to clear a few things out with the club’s management before deciding to move to the Premier League.

Now, as per various reports, Ten Hag has made a call about his future and has now agreed to replace Ralf Rangnick as the next Man United manager.

Ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino were the two favourites to take up the role but it seems like the Manchester United management have decided to put their faith in the current Ajax boss.

Here are the terms under which Erik ten Hag has decided to become the next Man United manager:

He is going to sign a four-year(possibly) contract with the club and this was one of the major demands from the Dutch manager.

He is going to have a major say in the club’s transfer policies so that he can bring in players that he deems fit for his system.

He has reportedly also had chats with the United hierarchy over the future of the several ageing players who are currently part of the first-team squad.

Since the two parties have now come to an agreement, Man United are now set to hold talks with Ajax, with the Dutch club ready to part ways with the 52-year-old.

The Dutch manager has a buyout clause of €2m so that should not be a problem for Man United but as per David Ornstein, no official announcement will be made before the Dutch Cup final.
