19-year-old Erling Haland is currently one of the most talked-about youngsters in European football and it looks like Manchester United are favourites to sign him.

Erling Haland currently plies his trade for the Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian League and this season he’s already netted 15 goals in just 12 games for the club.

Yes, as hard as it may be for you to digest but the youngster has scored 26 goals across all competitions scoring 5 hattricks in the process.

Reports in Germany claim Bayern Munich are planning to make a move for Erling Haland hoping to sign him as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

While Bayern have some serious interest in the teenager but most of the major publications claim it is Manchester United who are the real favourites to sign him – possibly during the January transfer window.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer coached Erling Haland while he was playing for Molde and it looks like the Norwegian is using this very same connection in order to lure him to Manchester United.

Ole let both Sanchez and Lukaku leave during the summer but he failed to bring in a proper replacement which is why the club will surely invest in a centre-forward during the January transfer window.

And if all goes well then this signing could be young Erling Haland.

It has also been reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had sent out his most trusted scout Simon Wells to watch Salzburg play and he was told to take specific notice of the teenager.

TransferMarkt currently values Haland at around €30 million but with so many clubs interested in signing him, there’s no way Salzburg will let him leave for so small a price.

Erling Haland is out of contract at the club in the summer of 2023 and it’s being reported that a fee of around £90 million will be needed in order to convince the Austrian side to let him leave.
