Rangers brought in Eros Grezda from NK Osijek last summer for a transfer fee of around €2 million. But the winger has found it really hard to settle down in Scotland.

During the 2018-19 season, Eros Grezda has featured in only 13 Premiership games for the Gers scoring just 2 goals and providing 1 assist.

He picked up an ankle injury back in December which kept him out of action for close to four months and when he returned back in April he was sidelined once again with a knee injury.

This had led many people to believe that Steven Gerrard does not want to give the player one more season and he would be looking to offload him during the summer.

And immediately following this, Ives Cakarun – the representative of Eros Grezda had hinted that the winger could more out of Ibrox.

Ives claimed last month: “We’ve spoken to the club and at the moment he is still part of Rangers,

“Let’s see what happens in the window but at the moment there is no news.”

And now Ives Cakarun has told Press Association Sport(as reported) that Eros Grezda will not be joining Rangers for their pre-season camp in Portugal but he still remains a Rangers player.

“He is still with Rangers but at the moment because he was with the national squad and there was some problems last week he will not be in the squad,” he said.

And this statement has gotten the Gers fans a bit worried after Eros Grezda pulled out of the Albania squad ahead of his country’s Euro 2020 qualifiers earlier this month.

No concrete reason has been given as to why Eros Grezda is going to miss the pre-season camp but after this statement, many pundits have urged Steven Gerrard to offload him.

The claim that dragging an injury prone player is of no use and it will be better if the Gers sold off Eros Grezda and used that money elsewhere.
