Manchester United have found their mojo back ever since Solskjaer took charge of the club and at the centre of this renaissance is Paul Pogba.

Under Jose Mourinho, Paul Pogba was continuously played out of position and the Portuguese boss put the World Cup winner in shackles.

This lead to a fragile relationship between the pair and most believed that Pogba would be moving out of the club by the end of this season.

But ever since Solskjaer has taken charge of the club, things have changed for good.

Paul Pogba has been given a free role in midfield which has really helped the flamboyant player show his skills.

Not only has he been providing assists during the past couple of months, but the Frenchman has also scored a bundle of goals.

And with this stellar comeback, a number of pundits have been forced to eat their words but former Man United defender Rio Ferdinand has revealed that he had always believed in Paul Pogba.

Ferdinand told Planet Football: “A lot of people wrote Pogba off, said he wasn’t trying hard enough, said he was not good enough to play for United, but I knew that was nonsense, total nonsense.

“This is a guy who has already won so much in his career, who scored in a World Cup final last summer and people were saying he wasn’t up to the task of playing at the highest level? Give me a break.

“Instead of picking out the negatives and trying to find what Pogba can’t do, find the positives and realise that he is the most effective midfielder in the Premier League when he is played in his proper position and utilised in the right way.

“Ole and Micky [Phelan] didn’t need long to understand how to get the best out of Pogba and almost from the moment they arrived, his performances changed.

“The same can be said of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and a few others because they are now enjoying their football again.”

Paul Pogba will miss Man United’s Champions League clash vs PSG due to a suspension but the Frenchman will hopefully be back pulling the strings in midfield vs Arsenal next weekend.
