FIFA recently released a list of the heights and weights of all the players competing in the upcoming World Cup in Russia and in that list England striker Harry Kane has been mentioned as one of the heaviest footballers to compete in the tournament.

In the list, Harry Kane’s weight is listed as 15st 6lbs or 98kg.

And as per FIFA, this makes Harry Kane one of the heaviest footballers who will be taking part in the World Cup.

But then look at Harry Kane.

Does the Tottenham striker look like a player who could way 98 kgs?

What’s even more shocking is that the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Manuel Neuer both weigh less than him.

But FIFA were quick to confirm that there had been a mistake in the list and Harry Kane, in fact, weighs 89 kgs.

This though did not stop fans from taking a dig at the English International and perhaps the best response came from TV host Garry Linekar.

Referring to Harry Kane’s fault weight measurements, Linekar said on Twitter: “They’ve probably added on the weight of expectation.”

While Linekar’s tweet was purely sarcastic but one can actually see the importance behind it.

Kane has had another wonderful season with Tottenham Hotspur – scoring 41 goals in just 48 games. And fans will be hoping that the striker can carry on with the fine form during the World Cup which starts in less than two weeks time.
