Arsenal lost Unai Emery as the club refused to offer him a new contract this summer which means he will now be moving out as a free agent.

Ramsey will be joining Serie A outfit Juventus on a free transfer and now Unai Emery has to look for a long-term replacement and pay for him out of the club’s small transfer budget.

A lot of midfielders have been linked with Arsenal during the past couple of months with the latest one being AC Milan’s Franck Kessie.

Franck Kessie had been a key part of the Milan squad this past season under Gennaro Gattuso but now that the legend has vacated his chair, it is being believed that the midfielder will be put up for sale during the summer.

Milan have failed to qualify for the Champions League next season and on top of that, they have to meet the FFP rules which means a lot of the players from the current squad are expected to be sold.

The Italian side are reportedly demanding around £27 million which is something that Emery is willing to pay but as things stand Spurs are the favourites to land the midfielder.

Rumours suggest Mauricio Pochettino has held an interest in Franck Kessie for some time now and he is more than willing to meet the demands of Milan.

Poch is planning to add depth to his squad and for that, Daniel Levy has agreed to spend money during the summer.

If this transfer goes through then surely it will be a huge blow for Arsenal since Franck Kessie would have been the perfect replacement for Aaron Ramsey.

During the 2018-19 season, Franck Kessie made 34 l3ague appearances for AC Milan but right now he wants to play in the Champions League – something that Arsenal cannot offer next campaign.

Some experts though feel that Kessie is a player who does not have the brains to become the midfield fulcrum for the Gunners.

As per them, the midfielder is all muscle – something which Unai Emery isn’t looking for at this point in time.
