Maurizio Sarri might have helped Chelsea win the Europa League this season but it is more or less certain that the manager will be heading out of the club.
Shortly after winning the Europa League trophy, Sarri handed in a formal transfer request with his eyes set on the job at Juventus.
Multiple reports during the past couple of weeks have claimed that Juve want Maurizio Sarri to replace Max Allegri for the upcoming season and it looks like the Italian is doing all he can to head back home.
Claudio Ranieri has also hinted on the fact that the former Napoli boss is on his way back to the Serie A this summer.
While talking about like in Italy, Ranieri said: “How did I find Italian football? An improvement and with the possibility of evolving again. The signs are positive. We are going to have a season that I imagine crackling: the premises where they are all, with the return of Sarri and Conte.
A number of managers have been linked with the job at Chelsea but if reports are to be believed then there is one man who has already rejected the offer.
We are talking about Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus who is set to become the next manager at Brazilian side Flamengo.
Jorge Jesus is currently in Brazil where he is expected to sign a one-year contract with the club and local journalist Thiago Asmar has claimed that Jorge Jesus actually rejected an offer to become the next boss at Chelsea.
Sport Witness reported:
“On a Youtube video, Asmar claims that he was speaking to a friend in Portugal who was having dinner with Jorge Jesus. That’s when the journalist had a chance to chat with the manager and was told by Jesus himself that he rejected an offer from Chelsea.”
Asmar also went on to add as to why Jorge Jesus refused to take charge of the Premier League club and move to South America.
“It’s claimed that Jesus didn’t want to say how much Roman Abramovich was offering him, and the reason he chose Flamengo is because he wanted a bigger challenge.” the journalist added.
Chelsea fans though will not be too worried about the fact that someone like Jorge Jesus has rejected their club as Max Allegri is currently the favourite to become the next boss at Stamford Bridge.
