Chelsea recently appointed Frank Lampard as their new manager at the club and everyone believes the Blues legend has a hell lot of work to do.
Last season, Frank Lampard did a fantastic job with Derby County as he almost brought them up to the Premier League but managing Chelsea is a whole new ballgame.
Also, the fact that there is transfer embargo on the Blues makes things even worse and most pundits have claimed that Arsenal can easily get back Chelsea next season and qualify for the Champions League.
But former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino believes that Frank Lampard has inherited a perfect bunch of players – so much so that the current Blues squad is better than that of Unai Emery’s Arsenal.
Speaking on the Weekend Sports Breakfast, Cascarino said: “A lot of people are saying that because they’ve lost Eden Hazard it’s a bleaker picture.
“At the end of the day, they’ve got a squad full of internationals ranging all different ages.
“Whether they are young or senior, he has got internationals in every position – so that’s a big plus.
“Frank’s got a better squad than Arsenal,
“He’s going to have to be expected to finish in front of Arsenal and you could argue get in the top four as well.
“People are looking at it and saying maybe they won’t get that and they should sacrifice this season, but I don’t believe for one second Chelsea Football Club will do that.”
Frank Lampard might not be able to sign any new players this summer and he has also lost Eden Hazard. But as a whole, things are not that bleak for the newly appointed boss(with the likes of Christian Pulisic and Mateo Kovacic set to arrive).
On the other hand, Unai Emery has a lot of restructuring to do in his current squad but his hands seem to be tied down by the lack of transfer funds.
