Rangers FC have made a number of signings during the January transfer window but it looks like one of them might not be of any use this season.

We are talking about Glen Kamara.

Initially, Glen Kamara had signed a pre-contract with the Gers meaning he would be moving to Ibrox from Dundee at the end of the season.

But the Arsenal trainee has since landed up at Rangers after Dundee were willing to let him move out in January itself against a nominal fee.

“They told me how impressed they’d been. I didn’t know the manager was watching me at the time,” Kamara had said after joining the club.

“It was a no brainer; it is a big club with a lot of history and a great manager right now. The team are doing well, so it was the perfect time to come here.”

And when Kamara arrived at the club, fans had been hoping to see the player in action this weekend itself.

But forget the first XI, the player did not even make it to matchday squad against St Mirren.

And speaking about Glen Kamara, Steven Gerrard has now revealed that the fans should not pin high hopes on him since the player has not trained for nearly three weeks.

“He hasn’t done much over the last three weeks,” Gerrard has revealed

“He’s had no game time and he hasn’t really trained much.

“We will build him up to get him up to speed, but you can see in training the quality is there to see. We believe we can help Glen to improve and find the next level.”

And now the fans are wondering why Glen Kamara has not trained for so long especially since he is perfectly fit and many believe the club might have wasted money by trying to bring in a player who could take a lot of time to get back his match fitness.
