Rangers FC will take on St Johnstone in the Premiership this weekend and before the match, the fans have been dealt with yet another injury blow.

The Gers fans were a happy lot during the past couple of weeks since Graham Dorrans had returned back to training and reports suggested the midfielder could be back in the first XI pretty soon.

But now the manager has come out to reveal that Graham Dorrans has suffered yet another setback during his rehabilitation and his new return date cannot be estimated.

Talking about the central midfielder, the Rangers manager said:

“Graham Dorrans has had a setback but we’re not sure the extent of that just yet.”

Dorrans joined Rangers from Norwich in the summer of 2017 but since then the only thing that the 31-year-old has done is spend time in the medical room.

Right now, the player is recovering from a knee injury which he picked up October last year and so far Graham Dorrans has missed almost 30 games for the Gers.

And the sad part is that this is the third time in less than a year that the midfielder has suffered a knee injury.

Some rumours have it that Graham Dorrans could return towards the end of March but right now there is no concrete evidence.

But one thing we can speculate that the 31-year-old does not have too much football left in him.

A constant knee injury is a sign that the problem will likely not go away and if Graham Dorrans cannot feature this season then it is more or less certain that the Gers will start looking for a buyer.

So it is better than the former Norwich man leaves Ibrox at the end of the season with some dignity.
