Harry Kane has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer but Spurs want a staggering £200 million in order to sell him off – as per reports.

Recently the England captain had hinted that he could try and secure a move out of White Hart Lane in the summer following which Daniel Levy has decided to slap such a massive price tag on the striker.

“It’s one of those things, I couldn’t say yes, I couldn’t say no. I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs. But it’s one of those things – I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I’m not someone to just stay there for the sake of it,” he had recently told Redknapp, via Sky Sports.

“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, I want to get better, I want to become one of the top, top players.

“It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever – but it’s not a no either.”

Most experts feel Levy has placed such a massive price tag on Harry Kane just so that Manchester United lose interest in signing him.

But according to report in ESPN, the Red Devils are not ready to back off and they hold substantial interest in the player.

As per ESPN’s Rob Dawson: “Harry Kane will remain on Manchester United’s transfer shortlist despite Tottenham’s stance that they will not sell their star striker to a domestic rival, sources have told ESPN.

“United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to add a centre forward to his squad during the next transfer window and Kane is on the list of potential targets narrowed down by the club’s recruitment team.”

Kane has scored 11 goals in 20 Premier League games for Spurs this season which is an exceptional feat given that he has missed a large portion of the season due to injuries.

He is without a doubt one of the top centre-forwards in the world and with three years left on his current deal, Spurs have every right to ask such a lofty transfer fee for him.

But if the Lilywhites fail to secure a Champions League spot in the upcoming season then surely the England international will look to move out in the summer and that is when Manchester United will automatically have the upper hand in this transfer saga.
