Liverpool forward Mo Salah had a breakthrough season and the Egyptian was one of the primary reasons why Jurgen Klopp’s side managed to reach the Champions League final.

And with great success comes a huge amount of gossip.

On Wednesday Spanish publication AS had reported that Salah was keen to join Barcelona for the upcoming campaign and the forward’s representatives had already held a series of meetings with the Camp Nou authorities.

The report further stated that Barcelona were informed about Salah’s inclination towards the Catalans and Barcelona were said to be readying a bid for the Liverpool man.

This report immediately sent ripples down Merseyside and many believed that after Philippe Coutino, Barcelona would manage to steal one more of their star player.

But Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, was quick to come out with a response and he directly called out the Spanish publication by rubbishing such rumours.

Salah is currently recovering from a shoulder injury which he sustained during the Champions League final in Kiev against Real Madrid.

Doctors have claimed that Salah should be back to full fitness within three weeks time meaning the forward should theoretically miss only the first group stage game for Egypt.
