Manchester United earlier this week had announced that they have agreed on a deal to sign midfielder Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Fred is currently training with the Brazil squad before the World Cup starts in Russia in 7 days time.
And now according to the latest reports, the 25-year-old has suffered a leg injury during a training session on Thursday.
If reports are to be believed then the midfielder was on the receiving end of a tackle from Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro and as soon as the collision happened Fred limped in pain.
The 25-year-old immediately fell to the ground clutching his right ankle.

The medical staff ran onto the pitch to attend to Fred after which he was taken off and the training session carried on without him.
Fred was seen sitting out for the rest of the session with ice packs wrapped around his right ankle.
