Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is reportedly a transfer target for Ligue 1 giants PSG and the French club have already started talks with the Emirates outfit – according to a report in Todofichajes.

The report claims: “PSG is clear that Thomas Meunier not renew his contract. The defender wants to try his luck in another competition and already values several offers.

“According to the information we handle at TodoFichajes, PSG is negotiating with Arsenal to transfer Héctor Bellerin. The Gunners need to enter money to carry out the reconstruction of the squad and they see in the sale of the Spanish an opportunity to make cash.

“The talks between the two clubs are on the right track and figures are approaching €30M.”

Is Hector Bellerin really heading to PSG next season?

Hector Bellerin has really struggled with injuries this season and so far the right-back has managed to play in only 8 Premier League matches for the Emirates outfit.

And while this lack of influence might prompt Mikel Arteta to offload him in the summer but there are a number of reasons why the Spaniard is not likely to leave.

Firstly, the Premier League season still has a fair number of matches which need to be played so we do not think, the North London side would want to hold negotiations regarding one of their big-name players so early.

Secondly, apart from Bellerin, Arteta currently has Maitland-Niles and Calum Chambers as his other right-backs meaning the Gunners boss will only sanction an exit once he is sure that he has a replacement signing firmly in place.

Third and most importantly, the 25-year-old is more than happy at Arsenal right now and he’s shown no signs of leaving in the summer. ESPN had recently claimed that Mikel Arteta is confident about holding onto Hector Bellerin beyond the current season.

So all in all, we do not see this deal going through in the coming few months, not especially in the price bracket of €30 million since the full-back still has three years left on his current deal at Arsenal.
