Arsenal manager Unai Emery is in urgent need of funds for the summer transfer window.

And by the looks of it, the team owners have refused to help him out.

Reports suggest that the manager will only get around 45 million pounds in the form of a transfer budget if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League and hence the Spanish boss is preparing for the worst.

Emery has already chosen to offload Mesut Ozil during the summer in order to free up some funds.

And if the latest rumours are to be believed then he is also not against selling Alexandre Lacazette.

Lacazette joined the Gunners in 2017 from Lyon and this season, the forward has worked really well in tandem with Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

So far, Alexandre Lacazette has played in 25 Premier League games having scored 10 goals and provided six assists.

This by no means is a poor return of goals but Emery feels the 27-year-old is worth sacrificing.

Reports suggest that the manager is planning to sell Alexandre Lacazette off in order to use the funds from the transfer in strengthening the weak areas of the squad.

Unai Emery feels that the forward’s fine performances this season have boosted his market value and the club can squeeze out a good enough value for him.

Alexandre Lacazette’s current deal with the Gunners expires in 2022 so the club can easily jack up his price at the end of the season.

And if you look at it logically, if Arsenal were to part ways with Alexandre Lacazette then Aubameyang could do that job pretty easily.

But does the manager really need to sell off one of his premier forwards in order to gather funds or should he just push his owners for money?
