Manchester City head to the Emirates this weekend to take on Arsenal in the Premier League and speaking before the game, Pep Guardiola has explained the threats that the Gunners posses.

Arsenal have obviously sacked Unai Emery and are now being helmed by Freddie Ljungberg which according to many is reason enough to believe that Man City will pick up all three points on Sunday.

Guardiola though has other feelings claiming that his side cannot afford to let the home side play their natural game or else they have they could pay the price.

The Manchester City boss said: “I have not watched the previous games with Unai, I watched the games they played with Ljungberg to try to figure out what they’ll try to do.

“But normally Arsenal have a typical style of play. If you let them play, they have the quality to play. Arsenal away is always a big test for any team.

“It was a position after the Unai Emery situation, the club decided on him[Ljungberg], of course, a person who has had many years at the club.

“He knows the feelings of the club and the fans, the way they like to play. He made a good result the last weekend so we’ll see.”

After Liverpool’s win on Saturday, Manchester City are now 17 points off the top spot meaning they just cannot afford to lose to Arsenal on Sunday.

Anything other than a draw at the Emirates would mean the defending champions will well and truly be out of the Premier League title race even before the year comes to an end.
