Arsenal take on Manchester City this weekend and right now, they have some serious problems in defence.

The Gunners are already without Rob Holding – recovering from a knee injury and the likes of David Luiz and Sokratis aren’t doing a particularly good job either.

And in such a scenario, the North London club will miss both Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney when they take on Manchester City in the Premier League.

Bellerin picked up a hamstring injury right before Arsenal took on West Ham United last weekend and he had to be withdrawn from the match as a result of the injury.

And now the club have confirmed the right-back will miss the City clash as he will only return back to training next week.

The injury update confirmed: Hector Bellerin – Tight right hamstring. Will miss Manchester City (h). Aiming to resume training next week.”

The absence of Bellerin means it should be Maitland-Niles who plays at right-back unless the coach chooses to use a 3-5-2 formation on Sunday.

Kieran Tierney was the other player who picked up an injury during the Hammers game and earlier this week it was confirmed that the summer signing has a dislocated right shoulder.

Arsenal confirmed:Kieran Tierney – Right shoulder. Dislocated right shoulder during West Ham United (a). Kieran will undergo surgery next week and will rehabilitate for around three months.”

The absence of the Scott might not be too much of a concern for Arsenal since he will be a straight swap for Sead Kolasinac at left-back.

But the fact that he will be out for three long months means the North London club have gotten really slim at the back.
