Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is out in the market looking for a defensive midfielder and as per Le10 Sport, the OT outfit might sign Idrissa Gueye from PSG.
The exclusive report claims: “According to our information, PSG would like to separate from Idrissa Gueye during this summer transfer window. His departure would be prepared more and more.
“Recruited for 30 million euros a year ago, Idrissa Gueye is particularly interested in the English market.
“His odds are excellent in the Premier League and it would clearly not be impossible to see him cross the Channel again this summer. As revealed by le10sport.com, Manchester United recently came to the information.
“Idrissa Gueye would clearly remain a sales option for PSG who is looking for reinforcements in the middle of the field.”
Will Man United sign Idrissa Gueye?
Idrissa Gueye moved to PSG from Everton in last summer but his career in Ligue 1 has clearly not taken off.
And now that he wishes to return to the Premier League, this could be the perfect opportunity for the Man United manager to sign a long-term replacement for Nemanja Matic.
Matic has been in great form since the resumption of the season but the Serbian clearly has only a couple of years left in his tank. And so if Idrissa Gueye is indeed available for sale then the 30-year-old would be the perfect solution to all the problems.
The former Everton man still has three years left on his current contract and TransferMarkt currently values him at £22.5 million. So it will be interesting to see as to how much does PSG quote for the defensive midfielder.
