Zinedine Zidane next Man United manager

Zinedine Zidane has been tipped to replace Jose Mourinho as the next manager of Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho was supposed to be sacked by the end of this week and Zinedine Zidane was set to take over.

Daily Mail broke a report last week claiming that Man United will part ways with Mourinho no matter what the outcome of the Newcastle game and this report caused a fair bit of stir and many blamed Manchester United for leaking such sensitive news.

But the club officials were quick to rubbish such rumours claiming they wish to stand by the manager and have no plans of sacking him.

Even Jose Mourinho said after the 3-2 win vs Newcastle United that his job at Old Trafford was never under threat.

This has seriously calmed a lot of nerves amongst the first team setup but now we just might know why Man United has chosen not to sack Jose Mourinho.

Zinedine Zidane was always the frontrunner for the Manchester United job – after the current manager vacated his seat but now his agent has made it clear that the former Real Madrid boss does not want the job.

Zinedine Zidane’s agent Alain Migliaccio told Journal du Dimanche: “He was exhausted in terms of nerves, he has chosen to take a sabbatical year and he won’t go back on that.

“I don’t think he’ll go to England, it’s not his style.

“I’ve spoken about it with him and the truth is that it doesn’t attract him.”

And now many people believe that Zinedine Zidane declining the Man United job was the prime reason why the Red Devils board has chosen to stand by their current manager.

Apart from Zinedine Zidane, not many top-level managers are currently available in the market so the United hierarchy thought best to stand by Jose Mourinho instead of pushing the club into more peril.
