Inter Milan finished the 2017-18 Serie A season in fourth spot – 23 points behind champions Juventus and the Nerazzurri’s biggest job will be to challenge for the Italian title next season.

Inter have already made a series of signings during the summer transfer window and now it seems like they are on the verge of making one more.

According to reports, the Italian outfit are expected to sign Bordeaux midfielder Malcom by the end of next week.

Malcom is one of the hottest properties this transfer season and clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs have all shown interest in signing the attacking midfielder.

Arsenal were said to be the closest in bringing Malcom to the Premier League while some rumours suggested that both Liverpool and Spurs were willing to battle it out for the player given his low transfer price.

Now though it seems that Inter Milan have beaten the Premier League trio to the race and are all set to wrap up the deal.

Malcom has reportedly said yes to Inter, and the only thing left now is to agree on a transfer price.

And this is where the EPL clubs still see a glimmer of hope.

As per the reports, Bordeaux are interested in a permanent sale while Inter up until now only want the player on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

Inter are willing to shell out 5 to 7 million euros for the loan deal and want a 40 million euros buying clause.

This clause hasn’t gone down too well with the Ligue 1 outfit who do not want to be involved in the hassles of a loan deal.

Theoretically speaking, clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs still have a chance to sign the player if they are ready to offer a hefty price for the attacking midfielder.

But this is certainly a long shot given the fact that Malcom has already agreed to join Inter Milan and the last thing that Bordeaux would want is to keep hold of the player and make his sale more complex.
