Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has fallen down the pecking order under Solskjaer and it looks like he is about to leave the club in January.

The 31-year-old joined from Chelsea in 2017 and under Jose Mourinho, he was a key player in the first XI. But things have surely taken a turn for the worse this campaign under his new Norwegian boss.

So far in the 2019-20 season, Nemanja Matic has played in only three Premier League season and his other three appearances of the campaign have come in the Europa League.

His last appearance in the league was against West Ham United in the month of September and in his absence, the pairing of Scott McTominay and Fred have done more than a decent job.

It’s more than evident that Solskjaer has no use of the player and as per the latest reports, Nemanja Matic is looking to move out of the club during the January transfer window.

While he’s been linked with a number of clubs up until now but it seems like Inter Milan have really shown an inclination towards signing him at the start of the new year.

Antonio Conte has been really having troubled times as far as the midfield area is concerned and are without Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella both of whom are out with an injury.

So in order to solve this crisis, Inter are reportedly interested in signing Nemanja Matic from Manchester United.

The Serbian international is out of contract at the club in the summer of 2020 with an option to extend for one more year but we don’t think Ole will be interested in triggering it.

So if Inter Milan do make a move for Matic next month they shouldn’t have any major obstacles in bringing him on-board.

Scott McTominay has become a mainstay in the Man United midfield and once Paul Pogba comes back, the team will become a much more cohesive unit. So if sense prevails, the Old Trafford outfit would want to offload Nemanja Matic during the January transfer window instead of trying to look for a buyer at the end of the season.
