Aaron Ramsey Arsenal news
Aaron Ramsey Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is currently recovering from an ankle injury which he picked up last week but the player is expected to leave the club next month.

Gunners manager Unai Emery has chosen not to provide a new deal to the Welsh international which means he will be free to leave the club by the end of the summer.

But many believe the midfielder will not wait so long and will try to find his next destination by the end of January.

And if recent reports are anything to go by then, Aaron Ramsey will have even more reason to leave next month now that the Gunners seem to have found a replacement for him.

According to rumours in the French media, Arsenal are planning to make a move for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar after Unai Emery identified him as a replacement for Ramsey.

Unai Emery knows a lot about the 20-year-old after having watched him closely while managing PSG and the Gunners boss wants him at the club next month.

Arsenal will have to shell out somewhere around £36million in order to acquire the services of Aouar but Emery will be more than willing to pay that amount since the player will be replacing Aaron Ramsey.

Aouar has so far played 16 games in Ligue 1 – scoring five goals and providing one assist but he is primarily known for his versatility due to his ability to play in a number of positions in and around the midfield area.

Aaron Ramsey is now sure to leave the club but the Welshman has shown no dip in confidence or enthusiasm during the past couple of months.

A true Gunner in every sense.
