West Ham United signed centre-forward Lucas Perez from Arsenal during the summer transfer window for a fee of €4.40 million.

And it looks like the player could already be on his way out of the club this month.

Lucas Perez has failed to make an impression under Manuel Pellegrini as the forward has managed to score only four goals from the 13 games that he has played for the Hammers.

While Manuel Pellegrini is not too keen to let Lucas Perez leave this month but the whole scenario could change if Javier Hernandez makes a return within the next couple of days.

Hernandez picked up a back injury during West Ham’s clash vs Watford and initial reports have claimed that the forward will be out of action for ten odd days.

This means he should return back sometime next week in which case Lucas Perez might very well be sold off by the Hammers.

As per a report from AS, La Liga side Real Betis are interested in signing Lucas Perez and could make an offer to West Ham sometime next week.

Lucas Perez has already played in Spain with Deportivo meaning Lucas Perez should have no problem in adjusting to life in the La Liga.

If Perez does move out of West Ham this month then it will be yet another step down in his professional career.

During his time at Arsenal, the forward made only 11 appearances for the club and now once again his career graph seems to be sliding down.
