Arsenal might sign Ousmane Dembele from FC Barcelona this summer in order to hold onto Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Le10 Sport.

The report claims: “FA Cup winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hopes to see Arsenal complete a nice recruitment this summer. His future with the Gunners could depend on it.

“As revealed by le10sport.com, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has set his conditions to be able to stay. Europe and his next salary are no longer the only conditions of the case since according to our sources, the recruitment of the Gunners is also at the centre of his concerns.

“Anxious to take part in a competitive project, and Arteta’s victory in the FA Cup is proof of this, Aubameyang wants to see heavy land this summer. An example, among others: He dreams of seeing Ousmane Dembele (FC Barcelona ) sign for Arsenal this summer.

“As revealed by le10sport.com, Dembele (like Umtiti and Griezmann ) does not want to leave Barca but his leaders need to find funds to finance the Lautaro Martinez ( Inter Milan ) case and the extension of Lionel Messi.”

Can Arsenal sign Ousmane Dembele?

Ousmane Dembele has been a major flop for Barcelona ever since his move to the club from Borussia Dortmund and during the 2019-20 season, he has managed to play in only five La Liga matches.

Dembele has clearly spent more time in the medical room than on the pitch and we are not quite sure that Mikel Arteta will want to sign such an injury-prone player.

Also, Ousmane Dembele is a right-winger and Arsenal already have Nicolas Pepe who operates in that same role.

Arsenal are also on the verge of signing Willian, a player who also plays on the right-hand side and this is another big reason why the Gunners are not likely to make a move for the 23-year-old during this current transfer window.
