Ever since Maurizio Sarri took charge of Chelsea during the summer the former Napoli man has done no wrong.

From bringing Jorginho to the club during the summer transfer window to going on an unbeaten run up until last week, the Chelsea boss has worked wonders with the Stamford Bridge outfit.

But now it seems the Italian is about to make his first big blunder.

And this includes the use of N’Golo Kante.

Kante has played as a defensive midfielder ever since he moved to Chelsea and the little Frenchman has thrived in that role.

From winning the Premier League to winning the World Cup, N’Golo Kante has done it all.

But now it seems the midfielder’s days at the club are numbered.

This after Maurizio Sarri made it clear that only Jorginho or Cesc Fabregas will play in that defensive role and N’Golo Kante will have to adjust in a more attacking position.

‘I think as you know I want to play a central midfielder who is a very technical player, for me, the centre midfielder is either Jorginho or Fabregas. I don’t want Kante in this position,’ Sarri said.

‘Kante wanted to solve the match [against Tottenham] in the first 15 mins but in the wrong way, he attacked the other box too much, I think this one is not one of the best characteristics of Kante, but it was only a reaction to the difficulties.

‘Maybe, maybe it’s only a question of time(on asked whether N’Golo Kante knows where he has to play on the pitch).

‘But Kante has to stay near to Jorginho, especially when the ball is on the other side.

‘When he is on the left he has to stay very close to Jorginho.’

‘It depends on the action. If we are on the left, no.

‘If we are on the left we have [Marcos] Alonso, [Mateo] Kovacic, [Ross] Barkley, and so in that situation he has to stay very close to Jorginho.’
