Arsenal are pursuing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic – according to reports.

Inter manager had claimed last week that Ivan Perisic will be sold by the club if they receive the right offer.

“We are talking about Perisic because he has interest from other teams and everyone would like to have him on his team,” Spalletti said Saturday.

“If anyone is interested in him, then they must pay the adequate sum.”

And immediately after this, reports started suggesting that Arsenal were interested in signing the Croatian.

The reports had it that the Gunners are interested in bringing Ivan Perisic on loan until the end of the season with an obligation to buy.

And now Inter Milan’s director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that Ivan Perisic has handed in a transfer request

“Perisic has asked to leave but there is no offer for him. We will see in the coming days,” Marotta said.

“Many players ask for a transfer,

“Perisic has expressed this desire, we must try to satisfy him, respecting the asset value that the player has for the club.”

This means that Arsenal have moved pretty close to signing the winger and experts believe the deal could be wrapped up by Tuesday.

Arsenal are surely cutting close but the fans will be pretty happy that their club is making a statement of intent by signing a top rated winger.

But many are still unsure since the club’s biggest priority this month should have been to sign defenders especially with the long-term injuries to Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding.
