Jadon Sancho wanted by Man United
Jadon Sancho is one of the players who is expected to make a move back to the Premier League this summer

Manchester United have been chasing Jadon Sancho for almost a year now and it looks like they are finally about to get their hands on the winger.

The Premier League side wanted to bring Sancho back to England last year but they failed to agree on a suitable transfer price with Dortmund. But now that the player is entering the final two years of his contract, BVB are softening their stance.

Sky Sports claim: “Manchester United are in continued negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of Jadon Sancho, with all parties ‘cautiously optimistic’ a deal can be done.

“Discussions over the England international’s transfer are centred around the overall fee Dortmund want and United’s structure of payments.”

Sky Sports aren’t the only major publication that are claiming that Man United are moving close to Jadon Sancho since The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell has also pointed towards the same direction, saying Man United are just about there with the transfer.

Laurie Whitwell wrote on Twitter: “MUFC pressing ahead with talks to sign Jadon Sancho. Hope rising a deal can finally be done with Borussia Dortmund.

“But there is a gap on valuation, of around £20m as Dortmund stick closer to last summer’s price than expected. Add-ons discussed.”

As compared to the 2019-20 season, Jadon Sancho has had a much more muted campaign this time around but still, the England international had managed to score eight goals and provide 12 assists in 26 Bundesliga matches.

Various rumours claim Jadon Sancho is keen to return to the Premier League and has his heart set on joining Manchester United.

Man United have made their admiration for Sancho pretty clear and if the reports from Sky and Athletic are to be believed then the two clubs will only have to agree on the transfer fee in order for the sale to happen.

Ole Solskjaer will be really pleased to have someone like the England international onboard since the manager will finally have a proper world-class right-winger in his squad and he will no longer have to use players like Mason Greenwood and Dan James in that role.
