Arsenal manager Unai Emery revealed that he wanted to sign three new players during the January transfer window.

Ultimately though the Gunners could only sign Denis Saurez from Barcelona but one of the possible incoming players could have James Rodriguez.

James Rodriguez is a Real Madrid player but the Colombian has been spending the last two seasons out on loan to Bayern Munich.

He is with the Bavarian giants on a two-year loan deal but this current campaign the attacking midfielder has fallen heavily out of favour at Bayern.

And there were reports that the player could end his loan spell with Bayern and join Arsenal during the January transfer window.

While the transfer did not eventually happen but many pundits believe that Unai Emery might just go back for him during the summer.

It is now confirmed that Arsenal will provide finances to their money in order to bring in some new players for the 2019-20 season and James Rodriguez could very well be one of them.

But now fresh reports are claiming that James Rodriguez might snub a move to Arsenal and join Juventus instead.

As per the news, Cristiano Ronaldo who had formerly played with the Colombian at Real Madrid has made contact with James Rodriguez and wants him to move to Turin.

We all know a request from Ronaldo would be very hard to put down and the fact that the Portuguese wants James Rodriguez to join Juventus certainly means the management wants to sign him too.

This could a major setback for Unai Emery who wanted to add the midfielder amongst his ranks more so since the Gunners will most certainly part ways with Mesut Ozil during the summer.

Bayern Munich do have an option to buy James Rodriguez at the end of the season but given his poor performances this season we are pretty sure that the Bavarian giants will not trigger the clause and send him straight back to Madrid once the 2018-19 season is up.
