The Reds took the lead in early in the first half but then the Hammers quickly got back on level terms through a goal from a perfectly taken set-piece.
And if Pellegrini’s men hadn’t wasted a host of chances then easily Liverpool could have walked out of the London Stadium without even a single point.
Jurgen Klopp chose to lay the blame on the referee Kevin Friend for his heavy-handed dealing of the match following which the FA have asked for written observations from the Liverpool boss.
And now Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson has revealed how his managed had actually reacted after the 1-1 draw vs West Ham United.
Robertson told Sky Sports(as reported): ‘Of course he wasn’t happy with the way we played but it’s another point.
‘You know, he doesn’t say much after games, he’s more one to sleep on it and gather his thoughts and say tomorrow because I think he gets a better picture.
‘So we’ll see what he says tomorrow but I don’t think anything needs to be said.
‘All the lads know, we spoke about it ourselves. It was just a poor performance, we didn’t take out chances and probably gave them too much space at times as well.’
Liverpool now move their focus to face AFC Bournemouth this next weekend and then in midweek, they have that all important Champions League clash vs Bayern Munich.
