Leicester City take on Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend and right now there are a few doubts over the fitness of Jamie Vardy.

The Foxes hitman has been on fire for Brendan Rodgers’s side this season hence it was a surprise to everyone that he was not named in the first XI vs Aston Villa in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg this week.

It was only in the 56th minute when Jamie Vardy came on into the match replacing Ayoze Perez and since then there have been whispers that the player is not a 100 per cent fit and might not be able to last the full 90 minutes vs Chelsea this weekend.

Now when speaking to the press, the LCFC boss has made it clear that while Wes Moran remains sidelined with an injury but Jamie Vardy has trained fully and is ready to face Chelsea on Saturday.

“We’ve still got Wes Morgan out, he’s unavailable,” the Leicester City manager said as reported by the club’s official website.

“We got a couple of minor knocks from the game in the week but it’ll be the same squad.

“He[Jamie Vardy] was okay,

“We found no side effects after the game. He’s trained today and was good.”

The return of Jamie Vardy to the starting line-up will surely be a big boost for the Leicester manager but it would mean that Iheanacho will have to move to the bench.

During the 2019-20 season, Vardy has played in 22 Premier League games for the Foxes so far and has managed to find the net 17 times along with four assists.
