Man United are planning to bring in a right-back during the summer transfer window as per reports and it looks like they have set their sights on Joao Cancelo.

Solskjaer has used Ashley Young as his first choice right-back this past season but the veteran has been really out of form and it is more or certain that he will fall down the pecking order next campaign.

Man United are expected to make a move for Juventus’ Joao Cancelo but right now there seems to be a problem.

If recent reports are to be believed then Manchester City are closing in on signing the right-back and right now Pep Guardiola’s side are favourites to sign the 24-year-old.

Joao Cancelo joined Juve from Valencia in 2018 and the past season has really been a roller coaster ride for him.

During the first half of the season, he performed exceptionally well but during the second half, his form dipped – so much so that Allegri had made plans to sell him off this summer.

Now with Allegri moving out, many people think that Joao Cancelo will remain at the club but that eventually might not be the case.

Juventus are still willing to sell him for a transfer fee of £52million and Man City are the first in line.

If Man City do get to sign Joao Cancelo then it will certainly be a huge blow for Ole Gunnar Solskajer but some people think otherwise.

United had brought in Diogo Dalot recently who looks to be a fine young talent and many people feel that Solskjaer should focus on grooming him for the first XI instead of spending so much money on buying Cancelo.

What do you think? Should Man United make a move for Joao Cancelo or let City sign him?
