Rangers FC made their seventh signing of the season in the form of full-back John Flanagan from Liverpool.
The right-back has failed to impress at Anfield since coming up the ranks and he eventually moved to Rangers this week on a free transfer signing a two-year deal.
Flanagan is expected to be a backup to first-choice right-back James Tavernier while some reports claim that Rangers might very well sell off Tavernier for a hefty amount.
Whatever be the case, the fact of the matter is, John Flanagan will not take much time to settle down at Ibrox given the fact that he already worked with Rangers boss Steven Gerrard at Liverpool.
The 25-year-old has also played alongside a couple of players from the recent squad which Flanagan claims will help him feel at home.
Now that the player has joined the first team squad in Spain for their preseason training he was asked about the differences between Rangers and his former club, Liverpool.
Flanagan told the Mail: “I always watched Scottish football on Sky. I was always aware of it and it is a massive league and one that we, as Rangers, are going to try and push on to get the title. We all know Liverpool is a massive club but Rangers are just as big.
“The pressure is as massive at both clubs. I have dealt with that at Liverpool and I’m more than willing to deal with it here at Rangers.
“I just want to get going and show all the fans what I am about.”
Rangers are currently in a rebuilding phase under new boss Steven Gerrard and the club management have made it clear that they are planning to make a couple of more signings before the 20180-19 season kicks off.
