Rangers FC might be struggling in the Scottish Premiership but Steven Gerrard’s biggest achievement this season is that he has managed to get the Light Blues back into Europe.

After a number of gruelling rounds of qualifiers, Rangers have made it to the Europa League and they will kick off their campaign later this month against Villareal.

Rangers have been slotted in Group G alongside the likes of Villareal, Rapid Wien and Spartak Moscow.

And if everything falls into place then Steven Gerrard’s side might come face to face with John Terry in the Europa League.

According to the latest reports, John Terry has been tipped to join Russian side Spartak Moscow who are a Europa League opponent for the Light Blues.

The former Chelsea man left Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2016-18 season after decades of association and went on to join Championship side Aston Villa on a one-year contract.

But the centre-back left Villa at the end of the previous season when the club failed to qualify for the Premier League.

And now John Terry might be on his way to Russia.

Initially it was being reported that John Terry was scheduled to sign a one-year deal with Spartak Moscow but now some reports suggest that he could sign a two-year contract.

Whatever be the duration of the stay but it is more or less certain that John Terry will be joining Spartak Moscow in which case he will reunite with his former England teammate Steven Gerrard in the Europa League.

While the 37-year-old’s experience can surely hurt Rangers but John Terry is way past his best playing days so the Light Blues should not have a big problem dealing with the Chelsea legend.
