Jose Mourinho Spurs Premier League
Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho is a man who is not shy of speaking his mind and most often than not it means embarrassment for the person who is on the receiving end.

This time though things have come out a bit differently with the former Man United boss showering praises on the likes of Manchester City as well as Liverpool.

The Portuguese has claimed the success of both these clubs isn’t only down to their two efficient managers but credit should also go to the way how these two giants are being managed.

“I think the structure of the clubs,” Mourinho said[as quoted].

“When you look at City, for example: the owner, [chief executive] Ferran Soriano, [director of football] Txiki Begiristain, Pep Guardiola, Pep’s staff and then the players.

“This looks like harmony, empathy, chemistry, quality, sharing the same project, sharing the same ideas.

“Liverpool? I also think that Jurgen [Klopp] is in a good position. He is very stable. I think he has control of his ‘areas’. He is supported by people who think the same way, the structure of the club.

“Ok, Pep: fantastic coach. Jurgen: fantastic coach. I think if tomorrow one of them leaves and another top coach comes – of course, he has to be top like they are – the team will still be there [at that level]. I think performance is globality. I think basically it is that.”

The Liverpool and Man City fans are obviously happy with the fact that someone like Jose Mourinho has praised their clubs’ management.

But a large group of Man United fans are trying to read between the lines and have claimed that this statement was not a glorification of both the clubs but instead Mourinho has actually tried to mock Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola by hinting these two have no significant contributions.

It is seriously odd to see Jose Mourinho praise people like Jurgen Klopp and especially Pep Guardiola but we believe this was a one-off thing and as soon as he returns back to management we will be able to see the Mourinho of old.
