Jose Mourinho Spurs Premier League

Manchester City beat Manchester United in the Premier League 3-1 this Sunday and in doing so Pep Guardiola’s men have further reestablished their position at the top of the table.

The loss means that Manchester United are now 12 points behind their city rivals and Jose Mourinho’s hopes of mounting a title challenge are fading away very rapidly.

City cruised through most of the 90 minutes and with them 2-0 up, Pep Guardiola was hoping for a rather quiet evening. But that is when Ederson Moraes gave away a penalty and Anthony Martial put the ball in the back of the net to add some spice into the game.

What followed were short spells of Man United pressure and many away fans were hoping to see a repeat of the Juventus game from midweek.

Unfortunately, though none of that happened as substitute Ilkay Gundogan put the game to bed by scoring a third goal – four minutes before the game.

The match once again proved that Pep Guardiola’s men are currently leaps and bounds ahead of their rivals.

But is the former Barcelona manager the best manager in England currently?

Well, if you look at current record then yes. Pep Guardiola is a cut above the rest.

But his rival manager on Sunday – Jose Mourinho is still the most seasoned pro that the Premier League has to offer.

The Manchester Derby on Sunday was Jose Mourinho’s 300th Premier League game in charge and despite failing to pick up all three points, the Portuguese is still the manager with the most number of wins(for any manager who has managed 300 games).

Jose Mourinho has won a staggering 189 games as a manager which is even more than what Sir Alex Ferguson had managed(183 games).

The other managers on the list are Rafael Benitez, Arsene Wenger and David Moyes.

Arsene Wenger managed to win 180 games out of his 300 which both Rafa Benitez and David Moyes are well below the 160-mark.
