Jose Mourinho tactics to be used in the FA Cup final?

Jose Mourinho might have picked up a stellar 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend but according to Paul Merson, the Portuguese is not happy at the Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager immediately they had shown the door to Mauricio Pochettino and everyone knew the former Man United boss was brought in to win trophies – something that Poch had failed to achieve during his time at the club.

But according to Merson, Jose Mourinho has gone back to being his old self indicating he is not too pleased with his managerial stint in London.

“I said when he went there it would give them a lift and there would be a charm offensive – and he was all smiles for a while,” he wrote for the Daily Star, as reported.

“But everyone knew it wouldn’t last, didn’t they? He’s gone back to being Grumpy Mourinho again. And I don’t see how he’s improved them at all. Not one bit.

“He looks like he’s thinking: ‘What have I done coming here?’ You don’t see him high-fiving ball boys now do you?

“Mourinho is only there to get them into the top four. I can’t see Daniel Levy wanting to win the FA Cup but not get back into the Champions League.

“But it’s not really working, is it? Chelsea are in the driving seat to finish fourth and I can’t see Spurs catching them right now.

“They are a very lucky football team at the moment because they’ve been ripped to shreds in their last two matches but still managed to win.”

Jose Mourinho has had a tough start to his life at Spurs losing Harry Kane to a long term injury and also losing the services of Christian Eriksen who moved to Inter Milan in January.

While getting into the Champions League will be deemed as a success, winning a silverware remains the utmost priority for Spurs right now and the Special One is a mastermind at that.
