Rangers FC take on Dundee at home this weekend as Steven Gerrard looks to pick up his second win of the Premiership season.
Dundee are currently bottom of the league table without a single point on board and this game against Neil McCann’s side could not have come at a better time for Steven Gerrard given that his team need to get their confidence back after the loss to Celtic.
And as things stand, the Light Blues have received yet another boost as one of Dundee’s key players is likely to miss the clash.
Dundee centre-back and club captain Josh Meekings injured himself during last week’s defeat to Motherwell and it seems that the thigh injury could keep him out of the Rangers game.
While reports have suggested that the injury to Josh Meekings is not too serious but manager Neil McCann is not ready to take any chances with an unfit defender – especially against the likes of Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty.
If Josh Meekings is left out of the playing eleven then summer signing Ryan Inniss could make his first start for the club having replaced the captain last weekend.

And if this news holds true then Steven Gerrard and his attacking players will be in for a treat.
Alfredo Morelos will get to run at a comparatively inexperienced defender and given the goalscoring form that he is in, no one will put their money against him scoring a couple of goals.
But Rangers might have an issue of their own as Kyle Lafferty is himself injured and might not be able to take the field against Dundee on Saturday. In such a scenario either Gerrard will have to play Alfredo Morelos as the lone striker or partner him up with Umar Sadiq.
