Luke Shaw has gone through a revival this season with his club Manchester United as he was easily the best player for Mourinho’s side up until the international break.
And these string of fine performances earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England side and things finally looked to be settling down for the left-back.
But Luke Shaw in his very first game for England against Spain suffered a nasty collision with Dani Carvajal which forced the left-back to be stretchered out of the pitch.
Initially, it was thought that Shaw had suffered a nasty head injury but Gareth Southgate later squandered all those rumours claiming that the 23-year-old was awake and fine.
But the England boss also mentioned that Luke Shaw would have to go through the mandatory two weeks resting period which meant that he would likely miss Man United’s next two games.

Now though Jose Mourinho in his press conference has sung a very different tune claiming that Shaw has been deemed fit by the club’s medical staff and could play against the Hornets on Saturday.
“I don’t know [if he will play], we still have a training session,” said Mourinho.
“By the protocol point of view and according to our doctor, he will be free to play.”
Initially, this report was received with a lot of excitement but now the fans have started turning on the United boss claiming that Mourinho is putting his ego on the line and forcing Luke Shaw to make an untimely return.
If this was totally a club matter then it would have been fine but the fact that Shaw had injured himself while playing for England has forced this issue into the limelight.

The rules around concussion in this country are an absolute joke! If you genuinely think someone can recover from a concussion in a week you’re a fool. No way United should be allowing him to play

Don't wanna be that guy but he should not be playing.

Isn’t it meant to be two weeks off following a concussion?

To be honest rather not play him, just to be on the safe side

Let him sit this one out

A number of fans have also urged the England medical staff to intervene in this matter and stop Jose Mourinho from picking Luke Shaw during the next couple of games.
